Elena Wright, Stage Combat/Movement Instructor, is a teacher and actor who recently moved to the Bay Area from Seattle after receiving her MFA in acting from the University of Washington. Most recently she was the movement consultant and played nurse 1 in Jon Tracy's Salt Plays: Part I, In the Wound at Shotgun Players. As an actor she has been seen in The Best of Playground Festival, Jean in Dead Man's Cell Phone (Sonoma County Rep), Snug in The Good News (Darkroom Productions), Clea in The Scene (Capital Stage), Ophelia in Hamlet, Sister James in Doubt: A Parable, and Virginia Poe in the world premiere of Evermore (Foothill Theatre), The Little Dog Laughed (B Street Theatre), The Winter's Tale (Seattle Shakespeare). In Seattle she has taught at the University of Washington and Coyote Central, and in the Bay Area for Marin Shakespeare, San Francisco Shakespeare, California Shakespeare Theatre and Berkeley Playhouse. She also leads a weekly Suzuki class at the Ellen Webb Dance Studio.
