Tim Kniffin

Tim has been a working professional actor since 1994, and has helped mold the unique talents of aspiring student actors in the areas of movement, improvisation, acting, and performance since 1986.  He graduated Cum Laude and With Distinction from Sonoma State University, where he also served as Associated Students President. He performed in the American College Theatre Festival award winning production of Strider at The Kennedy Center, and travelled to Wroclaw, Poland to continue his decades long training in Grotowski based physical theatre, movement and improvisation under Elizabeth Craven and Zbigniew Cynkutis.  Tim then recieved his MFA in acting from Southern Methodist University, studying with Peter Brook, Kristen Linklater, and Patsy Rodenburg.  A Bay Area Theatre Critics Circle Award winner, Tim has lived and performed in Chicago, Dallas, New Mexico, New York, Knoxville, Portland, Seattle, Spokane, Los Angeles, and all over the San  Francisco Bay Area. He is a proud member of Actors Equity Association, and is represented commercially by Look Talent.
